使役動詞

以前我們常聽到使役動詞後面要加原型動詞，但是真的是這樣嗎？
事實上這五個使役動詞後面總共有十個不同的接續（這麼多

  • make + RV / p.p.
  • have + RV / p.p.
  • get + to RV / p.p.
  • let + RV / be p.p.
  • help + RV / to RV

要怎麼判斷

使役動詞 + O + V
O和V兩者的關係是主動還是被動的
被動： p.p. / be p.p.
主動： RV / to RV

範例

I received a text message from Takeshi yesterday, and it mentioned that they had the equipment __ yesterday.
(A)shipped (B)was shipped (C)ship (D)was being shipped

看前方的受詞叫equipment，設備一定是被運送，因此選被動(A)

want

want + to RV - 主動
want + p.p. - 被動

The firm wants its product __ safely and in a timely manner, otherwise it will seek an alternative shipper.
(A)package (B)packaged (C)be packaged (D) to package

產品是被包裝，所以是B

感官動詞

  • see
  • watch
  • witness
  • hear
  • observe
  • notice

感官動詞 + O +

  • RV - 主動
  • Ving - 主動
  • p.p. - 被動

人不一定是主動
I saw a old lady ___by the dog.

  • 老太太是被狗攻擊 - attacked

情緒動詞

ing - 令人覺得如何

  • 外在散發的感覺
  • 修飾人/物

ed - 內心感到怎樣

  • 被受影響
  • 修飾人（只有人才有內心感受）

The movie is interesting.
I an interested in movie.
The actor is interesting.

  • 人其實是可以加上ing的

suggest

  • suggest + Ving
  • suggest + RV
  • suggest + be p.p.

The doctor suggests steaming veges.

  • 跟suggest很靠近時

The doctor suggests that we steam veges.

  • 空格和suggest中間有主詞，主詞是主動的情況

The doctor suggests that veges be steamed.

  • 空格和suggest中間有主詞，主詞是被動的情況

keep

  • keep + Ving - 主動
  • keep + p.p. - 被動

There are few tips to keep your company running smoothly.
Keep the blinds closed when the sun shining.

need

  • need + to RV - 主動
  • need + Ving - 被動

I need to wash the car.
The car needs washing.
